[Use the full IELTS content — Introduction to IELTS, and the Four Parts: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking — exactly as previously provided, with all key points under each section.]
Part 1: Listening
This 30-minute exam involves four audio recordings of native speakers, including both casual dialogues and academic monologues.
You will be assessed on your capacity to identify core concepts, extract specific facts, and recognize the speakers' underlying attitudes. Understanding the specific context and purpose of each conversation is vital for scoring well in this opening section.
Part 2: Reading
The Reading assessment features 40 varied questions to evaluate your comprehension levels.
Key skills include skimming for general context, scanning for details, and following logical arguments. You must quickly identify the writer’s intent, perspective, and tone across different text styles to efficiently manage the time limit.
Part 3: Writing
The Writing portion lasts 60 minutes and includes two distinct challenges.
In Task 1, you must interpret and summarize visual data like charts or diagrams. Task 2 requires a formal essay responding to a specific argument or issue. Both sections test your ability to organize ideas clearly and use a diverse range of vocabulary and grammatical structures.
Part 4: Speaking
This module is a direct, face-to-face interview lasting between 11 and 14 minutes.
Divided into three parts, it measures how fluently and coherently you can discuss personal experiences and abstract concepts. The examiner looks for clear pronunciation, natural delivery, and the ability to maintain a detailed conversation using appropriate English language forms.
